Maria D. Jaraba

Bronze Tutor, 1500 SAT

María Duarte is a former Strategic Test Prep (STP) student who is now dedicated to helping others achieve their dream SAT scores. During her junior year of high school, María mastered STP’s strategies, improving her SAT score from a 1410 to an impressive 1500. Having recently taken the SAT herself, she brings firsthand experience and a strong understanding of the challenges students face when preparing for this demanding test.

María has extensive tutoring experience in various subjects, including math and science. This experience has honed her ability to strengthen each student's subject comprehension while addressing their individual academic needs. Academically, María has excelled in a rigorous curriculum through the IB diploma program, achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA in advanced courses such as math, French, English, and business.

This fall, María will be attending the University of Notre Dame, continuing her academic journey at one of the nation’s premier institutions.

Outside the classroom, María is a member of the National Honor Society and serves as the president of her school’s Alas Unidas club, which she founded to support children in a disability care center. In addition to her academic and leadership achievements, María is an avid runner who has completed several long-distance races, including a half marathon.
