Not only is the college application process daunting because there are so many moving parts, but many are often in the dark and on how to navigate the process efficiently and effectively. Super scoring? Common App? FAFSA? Supplementary Essay? Ahhhhhh! If you are the first-born in your family or a parent going through this process with your first born , you may feel even more overwhelmed. A little about me: my name is Laura Whitmore. I was valedictorian of my high school class then attended a top 20 university. I guess you could say I was good at "playing the game." As an adult, I worked for an educational consultant in Florida where I assisted many students on the college application process. I have helped my students brainstorm and edit college essays, fill out applications, and research schools. I have also tutored the ACT/SAT tests for over 15 years and my students achieve phenomenal score gains. I am excited to bring my expertise to you through this blog and the things that I have learned and continue to discover!
