Luis Hernandez is a Gold Tutor at Strategic Test Prep who works with students across all sections of the SAT and ACT. Although he naturally gravitates toward the math and science–based portions of the exam, Luis was also trained extensively on the English side and scores in the top 1% on SAT Reading and Writing, making him highly effective as a full-test tutor. He earned a 1540 on the October 2025 SAT and brings strong analytical skills from his background in Civil Engineering.

Luis first discovered his passion for education while mentoring construction teams and tutoring engineering students, experiences that revealed his talent for breaking down complex ideas with clarity and patience. He now dedicates himself to helping students build confidence, strengthen their reasoning skills, and understand the patterns behind each section of the test. He teaches in both English and Spanish and is known for his calm, supportive demeanor and ability to meet students where they are.

Outside of tutoring, Luis enjoys sports, music, and finding ways to make learning both structured and fun.
