Jacy Tackett is a Gold Tutor at Strategic Test Prep who works with students on both the SAT and ACT, covering all sections of the test—including Math. She holds a BA from Yale University and an MA from Cornell University, where she is currently completing her PhD. Jacy combines deep academic expertise with a warm, encouraging personality that helps students feel comfortable, supported, and confident from day one. Her clear explanations and strong ability to connect with teens make even challenging topics feel approachable.

Jacy is a top 1% test taker with a 1590 superscore on the SAT (790 Math in August 2025 and 800 English in September 2025). She has taught collegiate writing, literature, and German language at Cornell, experience that directly strengthens her SAT Reading and Writing instruction, while her strong quantitative reasoning allows her to tutor the full test with ease. She loves helping students understand the patterns behind standardized tests and develop strategies that lead to meaningful score jumps across every section.

Outside of tutoring, Jacy enjoys decorative journaling, scuba diving, and watching Taylor Swift concert livestreams.
