Jacy graduated from Yale University with a BA in German Studies and received her MA from Cornell University where she is currently a PhD candidate. With wide ranging interests and a knack for pattern recognition, Jacy is a modern day Renaissance Tutor. Her expertise spans standardized testing (SAT, ACT, GMAT, GRE, MCAT English, ISEE, and COGAT), reading and writing through the elite undergraduate level, math and science subjects through the high school level, as well as undergraduate, graduate, and funding application and essay writing. Her simple, straightforward, and relatable explanations have helped many kids go from failing to sailing.

While working on her dissertation, Jacy taught collegiate writing, literature, and German language at Cornell University. Before that, she tutored informally, mentoring peers through undergraduate and graduate applications, building study groups, and volunteering to teach high school students debate. Her efforts resulted in funding for her writing groups at Cornell and the Volunteer of the Year award from the Dallas Urban Debate Alliance.
She has test scores in the top 1%, with a perfect score on the ACT English section. She learned to close the gap, taking her original ACT score from a 30 to a near-perfect 34 in less than 3 months. She used the same techniques to earn 4s and 5s in her 16 high school AP classes and to score in the top 97% of GRE test takers while working a full time consulting job. She loves working with SAT and ACT students to learn the test's secrets, crack the code, and then perform!
When not working with students to inch closer and closer to their dreams,

Jacy spends her free time decorative journaling, scuba diving, and watching replays of Taylor Swift concerts on grainy livestreams.
